Thurrock Councillor of Housing, Sue MacPherson gave the thumbs up to a new development of Swan Housing Group apartments in Grays Town Centre recently and work has now officially started on the 26 affordable housing properties.
In partnership with Thurrock Council, Swan have started work on the new one and two bedroom rented and part-buy part-rent homes and completion is expected in January 2008.Councillor MacPherson commented: "This is another wonderful example of partnership working and is great to see new fresh architectural designs, which I am sure the Thurrock community will be proud to live in." Jon Hayden, Swan Assistant Director (Thames Gateway) said: "We are thrilled to yet again be working with Thurrock Council in providing much needed homes for local people. The accommodation will be ready for occupation in 2008 and will be a fantastic place to live in a prime location." |
